FAQ

Should I consider a home storage solution in addition to solar?

A storage solution, such as a home battery, holds excess energy the home’s solar system produces. This helps the home owner manage power consumption and save money by using stored power during peak pricing hours. It also provides reliable backup power when grid power isn’t available. A solar array plus a home storage solution provides even greater control over your energy and boosts energy independence.

What can I expect from the solar process?

Begin your journey towards energy control and independence by choosing to get a quote. You will have a chance to confirm your name, address, email, and phone number. From there you will be connected to the quote tool of one of our trusted solar partners. Using information about your home and energy usage, these tools will produce your first view into the size of a solar solution for your home and estimated savings. The next step is to meet with a solar sales agent who will walk through the quote, evaluate your home further, including roof condition, sun exposure, and tree cover. If required, updates will be made to the solar design, which will feed into the contract. After signing the solar contract, installation of your solar array will be scheduled. After installation, the final step is the utility company granting “Permission to Operate” (PTO), which is the formal approval to connect your solar system to the grid. After this, the solar panels will start powering your home!
